Since 1839, the University of Missouri has stood as a beacon of higher education. As the largest alumni base outside of Missouri, the Dallas-Fort Worth area is proud to have so many Mizzou alumni call the Metroplex home.

This year’s Dallas-Fort Worth Founders Day will be a unique celebration of Mizzou’s 175 years of academic success, starting with a cocktail reception to let our graduates of all generations mix and mingle, followed by a short awards program honoring Mizzou alumni in various capacities and brief “fireside” chat with some of Mizzou’s most successful Dallas-area alumni. Whether your goal is to meet other Mizzou professionals in the area, reconnect with old Mizzou friends, or just come out to support the University, it will be a night to remember at the Pecan Room at Old Parkland, which is arguably one of most well-restored and beautifully adorned private museums in Texas.

Throughout the evening a silent auction will be available, which includes our feature item of a Frank Haith autographed Mizzou basketball. Tickets are available for $45 per person, which includes hors d’oeuvres and beverages. All net proceeds from the tickets and silent auction will benefit the DFW Chapter’s Endowment and Scholarship Fund, which provides academic scholarships to local Dallas-Fort Worth seniors who have chosen Mizzou as their future collegiate home. We sincerely hope you can join us in supporting the DFW Scholarship Fund!

We invented Homecoming and just because we aren’t on campus anymore doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate Homecoming Week in DFW. Head on up to the Addison Ice House and reminiscence about your homecoming experiences and get pumped up for our 102st Homecoming and the game against South Carolina.

We promise there won’t be any pomping involved.  Information on specials will be announced soon, check our Facebook invite for all the info.
